ISIS Delivers Turnkey Solutions Worldwide

“Aspects ARTS™ is probably the most sophisticated, integrated, real-time museum security system anywhere in the world” says Rob Green, ISIS founder and CEO. “The limitations of traditional intruder alarm systems have been put under the spotlight by increasingly daring art thieves - nearly every incidence of art theft in the last two to three years has taken place during the day.”

ISIS is partnering with some of the biggest installers and consultants in the security industry, including ADT, Tyco, Bell Security, OCS, Chubb Security and Kroll Associates, and has quickly established itself as the market leader amongst the museum and gallery communities.

In the autumn of 2004 the Victoria and Albert Museum in London was raided three times in quick succession, leading to the closure of nearly a third of the museum space. OCS, the incumbent security company, after evaluating and testing every available system on the market chose Aspects ARTS™ to be an integral part of a four year security upgrade at the V&A.

Aspects ARTS™ has been fully integrated with all the electronic security systems in the museum. During an alarm event the Aspects ARTS™ software flashes alarm information in the Security Control room, activates the digital CCTV system, alerts local invigilators via pager, sounds an audible alarm in the gallery, sends an email to management, and can even “lock down” the museum.

“We were very lucky in that nearly five years ago our first customers in the art market were The National Gallery and Historic Royal Palaces, and they have been instrumental in helping us tailor a solution to the needs of the art community” says Rob Green. Armed with this vital knowledge ISIS technicians then worked closely with Wavetrend’s R & D facility in South Africa helping develop specific tags for the museum sector.

In August 2004 “The Scream” and “The Madonna”, arguably Edvard Munch’s most famous paintings, were stolen from the Munch Museum in Oslo, this time in an “armed” daytime raid and they have yet to be recovered. In January 2005 the ISIS solution was chosen as the cornerstone of a £3.5 million security upgrade at the museum which recently reopened in a blaze of publicity in Norway.

The ISIS success story continues with new contracts in Dublin, Paris, New York, and Hong Kong.
