WAVETREND WELCOMES SALEEM MIYAN TO EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Auto ID industry specialist to direct and manage aggressive global,
go-to-market strategy

SURREY, U.K., January 29, 2007 – Wavetrend, a world leader in the deployment of active RFID solutions, today announced the appointment of Saleem Miyan as Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing & Professional Services. Reporting directly to Chris Bishop, Wavetrend Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Miyan will direct and manage the company’s new, global go-to-market strategy.

Mr. Miyan has worked in the Automatic Identification industry for the past 12 years. Prior to joining Wavetrend, Mr. Miyan held the position of Vice President and General Manager of Checkpoint Systems, Inc., overseeing their global RFID and emerging technologies business.

Previously, Mr. Miyan spent six years with Philips Semiconductors, where he served in several key positions within the Identification business (Smartcards, RFID, and Near Field Communication). Under his leadership, Philips’s RFID business became a highly profitable, mainstream market initiative for the company.

Mr. Miyan has also worked for Ernst & Young in both London and Chicago, where he served as a managing consultant, overseeing a team of 30 systems and software experts. He began his career as a business systems analyst with British Airways in the UK, eventually rising to a corporate systems project management position.

Mr. Miyan has a Masters degree in project management and psychology and a Bachelors degree in software engineering. Mr. Miyan is a recognized speaker and chairperson and has represented his companies at many worldwide conferences and briefings. In addition, he has authored multiple articles and papers on RFID deployment, technology development, and emerging new technologies.
