  • User participation is strictly on an opt-in basis and the user controls how much personal information is shared either with the event manager or included in their profile and made visible to other visitors or exhibitors, as with all other event management systems.
  • The user’s information is only linked to the tag ID number in the event management database with no user identifiable data ever being stored on, or transmitted by the tag. The tag only transmits a unique ID number that is, on the day or event, temporarily associated with the user to provide user location tracking or to bookmark points of interest.
  • The tags are usually recovered and reused for other events.
